I love the Lady just as much as any other gay man. It’s time to get “real” for a second though. I’m going to have to say “no no” to the upcoming Lady Gaga biography. These 288 pages may detail the life know to us as Gaga, but they are screaming for your money. Writing Gaga’s biography at this point in time is equivalent to writing Obama’s biography before the end of his Presidency. Like her or not she is the reigning Queen of Pop/Gays/Teens/, but her reign has just begun. This book is a product of her fame. A product of capitalism. A product of greed. A product of Lady Gaga.

Summing it up…this book is nothing special.
Gaga fans will buy it. True Gaga fans won’t buy it. Real Gaga fans will sleep with it.
I love to see a autobiography though.

I agree with the old man with the nappy headed hair. The Jonas Brothers SUCK, musically, of course. I really have an open mind. I try not to judge people, but I’m creeped out by the other old man who was going to the Jonas Brothers concerts, and learning songs designed for preteen girls. I think the old guy on the phone doesn’t have any manhood because he is too quick to assume that he has one to protect. Phone man is very defensive of “his man Nick” while nappy headed man with phallic microphone fancy’s Justin who he describes as “Cute”,”Hot”, and “Got it going on”.

We are America, and we are at war. So who is it going to be Nick Jonas Brothers, or Justin bibber/bierber/burble. The tweens are watching so choose your words carefully or you fill face the wrath their wrath in the form of naggy emails and eboycotts.

The youtube account iamamiwhoami has created a viral guessing game among the musical blogosphere. Two visually stunning, and shocking teaser trailer clips were uploaded, but the clips have not been claimed by any musical artist. The suspected artists include Christina Aguilera, Goldfrapp, The Knife, Ladytron and Lady Gaga. Regardless of who it is many people including myself are very interested in following this viral marketing mystery.

My verdict on the whole question of who is featured is as followed.

The music is defiantly reflective of what Goldfrapp has produced in the past. Also the whole living nature element has been visited in several Goldfrapp videos. The coloring of one of the videos is similar to Goldfrapp and Ladytron. Also Goldfrapp album is coming out in March.

So pretty much I think it is a very creepy version of Goldfrapp. Now I suppose it’s time to ask who you think is behind the videos.

Uganda’s has recently made some news with their proposed Anti-Homosexuality Bill. The bill looked to criminalize homosexuality, and HIV positive gays would be executed . Though due to international pressure Uganda’s president Yoweri Museveni has decided to back off from supporting the bill. The interesting thing about this situation is that the the Anti-Homosexuality Bill has strong domestic backing. Many citizens consider homosexuality an imported western lifestyle that is not indigenous to Uganda.

While covering this issue, western media outlets neglected to show the radical stance of the Ugandan people on the Anti-Homosexuality Bill. The following video gives more of a Ugandan perspective on the issue. Support of the bill is only partly grounded in the issue of homosexuality. It seems as if has become an issue of national independence along with defiance of western social standards.

I have been meaning to blog/write/post music videos about Ms. Marina. Marina and The Diamonds a 23 year old brit who has been causing quite the buzz. She already has four music videos under her belt despite not releasing her debut album, and is number 2 in BBC’s Sound of 2010 list(whatever that is). Regardless the vocals of her songs are very distinct, and unique in comparison to the mainstream Pop scene. Truthfully though being “The Next Best Thing” takes branding. I love her music, and will probably “buy” her album, but she needs to refine her concept if she wants to be marketed towards the zombtween American market.  My prediction is that she is going to do well in Great Britain because they actually do appreciate good music over there, but for her to transcend her identity globally she will need to become more visually, and personally distinct from the rest of the pop scene. Though she does seem to fit in with the rest of the pop scene.

The current queen of pop, Lady Gaga has become the recent focus of the infamous Westburo Baptist Church. The Westburo Baptist Church also know as the “God Hates Fags” group has added Lady Gaga to the ever growing list of things god hates. Part of me is kind of sad because it seems that the more traditional more biblicaly grounded “God Hates Fags” side of the church is fading, along with Fred Phelps. The plus side is now the church has evolved into a total joke tacking the “God Hates” phrase to the latest fad or trend. Though I do wonder which group is more fanatical. These Westburo Baptist Church folk are facing off against some very fierce fans. Preteens, teens, and a gaggle of gay men form the ranks of the standard Lady Gaga audience. These fans are armed with “Disco Sticks” which if used properly can be deadly, and yet trendy at the same time.
