My sister loved watching Shirley Temple as a child. Via "Childhood whatever is on TVosmosis", I as well have absorbed Shirley Temple.
Shirley Temple taught me a lot of things about Orphans, and about how bad they have it. Actually her movies, and portrayal of Orphans encouraged thousands to adopt. Actually no, but she is my favorite female orphan, who is not redheaded. Shirley taught me a lot of things about life too. One thing in particular is that her movies revealed to me what a "bitch" was.
