What I’m Thankful For.

Sometimes I wonder if my videos are just stupid and silly and not worth doing. Sometimes I wonder if I should be like all the other kids and just go on with my life and get into college and get good grades.

Sometimes I get messages like the one bellow.

Hi, Eric

I’ll try to keep this as short as I can. First, thank you for making your videos!

Three weeks ago my 15 yo nephew attempted suicide by cutting his wrist - which severed the radial artery - causing severe bleeding. Fortunately, he was found in time to be taken in for medical and psychiatric help. He was released from the psychiatric ward yesterday, and is staying with me. He, too is gay, and his parents are ultra-right wing, christian nuts. The doctor told his parents why he cut himself [being ashamed of being gay], and they, for all intents, have rejected him, which is why I told him he could stay with me.

I have watched many videos by teenagers on ”coming out”, and yours came to mind. You are intelligent, and offer great advice, so I suggested that Jeremy watch your channel. Before he sat down at the computer, he was depressed and apathetic, but after watching several of your videos, something ‘clicked’ in his mind. He is feeling much better now, thanks to you! :)

Not to sound desultory, you are as beautiful on the inside as you are gorgeous on the outside. If I were a few years younger, I believe you and I could be soul mates. =D LOL. Jeremy also developed a crush on you, so you may hear from him when he makes his own YT account. ;)

Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and weekend, Eric! Keep up the good work. Thanks again! :)

Best wishes and lots of love,

E.J.

They give me hope and meaning. They make me proud of not only myself, but of others. I’m proud of the man taking in his nephew and I’m proud of my parents for accepting me.

Messages like these are inspiring and they give me hope for a better tomorrow. I hope they inspire you to make that tomorrow happen.

Thanks…

Parties you missed:Rainbow Pumpkin Dance

It was epic. A stellar time. I was a bit nervous because I was going their alone so I was a bit skittish. Like who goes to a gay party at a church really? Well I guess I do. Well I was the first one there so it wasn’t that bad and I recognized a lot of people from the last dance. We immediately started conversing while the DJs were setting up. We came across some odd books in the library while we were waiting. One such book detailed information about Gay Midlife, keep in mind we are in a church. So anyway we were talking about a religion for a bit. Most of us turned out to be agnostic or atheist. I pulled out a random Bible and read some good old Leviticus. I learned if you fuck an animal you shall be put to death and so will the animal.

So about 30 or so people showed up and we had a joyous gay time. The music was decent they played mostly 80’s music which I didn’t particularly love. Also they played You Spin Me Round three times, but they only played the one with the lyrics once. I requested Lady Ga Ga and Dangerous Muse, didn’t get to hear that. They played a lot of infernal oh well its okay I suppose. I really have to thank all the

I was the only person who took pictures I believe so I’m not in most of them if your wondering.

Gay Teenager persecuted by town

Well lets see what is going on in the world today of Gay news… Well since its the “Back to school” season I think this news article concering a gay teenager and her struggle with her town is quite appropriate.

The town of Ponce De Leon has been unsettled by a certain gay teenager has went againstĀ  the school administration of her local highschool due to the homophobic injustices the principal and the community committed. It started when this girl told the Principal David Davis that she was being harassed for being a Lesbian. Well Mr. Davis response was to tell her that she is morally wrong and that homosexuality is wrong. Further he went on to out the young girl to her parents. As a sign of support some of the girls friends tried to support her by wearing Gay Pride T Shirts. Davis continued his moral crusade by suspending Heathers supporters. Further he started inTERRORgate a large sum of students about their affiliation with Homosexuality. Eventfully the ACLU got involved and fought sued the Principal. Well this “witch hunt” as a federal judge calls it, got Davis demoted. The crazy thing about this is the town personally deems Davis a hero.

Stories like this make me quite proud to be in the Yankee Liberal north. Even though my school is lacking a GSA, I never need to worry about any sort of “Witch Hunt” or moral crusade. I think the vast majority of us can be thankful for not having such a bad school. On a scale of 1-10 on I give my school a 8 on gay friendly scale. What about your schools or colleges or workplaces?
