Church Massacre

At the time of this post two people have died and five more are still in critical condition. If you don’t know what happened. A Jim Adkisson, 58 came into a church with a guitar case. He opened it to reveal a shotgun and started shooting randomly with the intent to kill. This tragedy has really touched me. First thing that got me was that there was a 60 year old man along with two others who selflessly tackled the shooter and held him down until the police arrived. Then it was during a musical put on by children. You probably know by now that I am not a spiritual, but I just got the image of it happening at my church. After all the shock factor was over I wanted to know why? Was it some batshit insane Atheist? Was it some batshit insane Christan? Where they mentally insane? Why Who could do such a thing?

Now it turns out this particular church is Unitarian Universalist church. This church would be considered “liberal”. Unitarian churches have fought for desegragtion and rights for gays and lesbians. Also keep in mind this was in Tennesse and this is being invetigated as a hate crime so time will tell. I’m going to keep this on my mind for a while.
